Custodial Worker

1. Perform "Emergency Cleaning" upon detection or by request of Building Manager or Supervisor. 2. Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors and stairwells. 3. Scrub, strip, wax, and buff floor areas. 4. Stock and order custodial supplies. 5. Assist in set-up and clean-up for inside and outdoor building functions. 6. Report safety concerns and repairs to Building Manager or Supervisor. 7. Wash inside windows. 8. Clean/dust/polish desks, furniture, office equipment, shelving, window blinds, fire exit signs, sprinkler heads, ceiling vents, and heat registers. 9. Clean/disinfect necessary items/areas including but not limited to: tables, chairs, lockers, water fountains, door knobs, windowsills, rails, beds, walls elevators, laundry equipment, door kick plates, and hygiene cabinets. 10. Empty and sanitize trash cans. 11. Clean debris and leaves by entrance doors. 12. Empty Cigarette "butt" boxes. 13. Maintain storage areas and custodial equipment. 14. Wash mops and clean slop sinks daily. 15. Restrooms to be cleaned/disinfected including but not limited to: toilets, urinals, sinks, faucets, mirrors, bathtubs, showers, stall panels, shower seats, vents and walls. 16. Assists in emergency evacuations, fire alarms, and tornado drills. 17. Follow building lock-up procedure. 18. Knowledge of and ability to use Universal Precautions where appropriate.

High School Diploma or Equivalent One (1) year experience in a custodial position or other relevant work experience, including operation of various custodial cleaning equipment and use of appropriate cleaning chemicals.
